...and here I go again.
My life is crazy and full of random awesome stuff that tends to happen every now and again. But I'm the only one who thinks so. *g* Others would find my life boring as hell, I suppose. That's why I don't write here anymore. I can't for the life of me imagine what would be interesting enough to share it with you, guys. And I don't like the idea of flooding your friendlists with useless ramblings.
And I think I need another life. One with enough time both to live in LJ and RL. Because now they somehow refuse to co-exist. :(

I don't get along well with the movies
It only occured to me a few moments ago, that I hadn't seen the latest X-Files movie. And I have no idea, why this happened. I was a fan of the show, I intended to watch the movie in the cinema, just wasn't able to find time back then. I bought the DVD, for crying out loud... and forgot to watch, simple as that. God, am I hopeless! :)
5 o'clock in the morning. I'm off to finally watch it.

all in all, I'm a very lucky person
...because I have most awesome friends imaginable. You'll see why, but first I'll say that I am also a nerd. I spent two hours adjusting my journal style and then another two hours adjusting my profile page. Yes, I'm very happy with the look of my lj now and yes, I wanted to update (like finally adding some text *g*) my profile a long time ago. But... it's 10 am, and I'm not awake early, I just haven't slept yet. Though, I must admit, it was worth it. I can't remember when was the last time I was this satisfied with the look of my journal. And this all would not be possible if it wasn't for [info]sweetgirl7808, who is awesome and totally crazy in the best way. :) Imagine this: I finally got a chance to talk to the girl after two months of absence and one of the first things she said was: "you need a new layout. I mean, c'mon, orange!" What can I say? Resistance was futile. :D And unwanted, too, after she offered to make me a new header. *gg* Seriously, I love that girl. A lot.
*is happy and going to sleep*
Speaking of which... I now sleep on the sofa in my study instead of my bedroom because of another amazing friend of mine. [info]bloody_lee was so kind (and crazy enough *g*) to send me this for Christmas:

You know, it's damn near impossible to get a Star Wars poster in Russia (at least in my town), so this gift is like a freaking blessing to my fangirl soul. This poster is hanging on my study's wall now and there's no way in hell I would sleep anywhere else, when I can fall asleep watching them, the characters from my childhood. Lee, my dear, I can't thank you enough for this. Not in this lifetime. But I'll try. ♥

Concerning coffee
I'm really starting to hate fanon!McKay. I always liked my coffee black. But after a few dozens fics with McKay... I understand, why authors pay so much attention to his coffee. It's kinda in character and it's fun. Hell, I used to ship Daniel/coffee, so I'm no judge here. *gg* And with McKay's hypoglycemia it's no surprise it's being noted every now and again that he adds sugar (and milk in most of those fics). What I don't understand is why I started doing the same thing. I hated coffee with milk and sugar, I didn't like the taste, that sweetness used to drive me crazy... but every time I make coffee now, I absentmindedly add sugar and milk. What is it, some kind of "25th frame effect" only in fiction? Then I guess I should start reading Daniel-centered fiction again. He, at least, drinks the same kind of coffe I *used to* like - the following is my favourite fic quote about Daniel and his coffee:
"How do you drink that stuff first thing in the morning?"

"Huh?" Blearily, Daniel looked over the rim of the biggest, baddest coffee mug he owned. Before him, dressed, shaved and far too alert for six o'clock in the morning, stood his beloved.

Who would not be his beloved for much longer if he kept staring at his coffee pot as if it contained ebola.

Atlantis favourite quotes
It's just me, missing Atlantis already. I was re-reading the list of the quotes/moments from the show I liked the most and thought I'd share some of them. The first one is my favourite, ever.

McKay: You really need to get out more.
Beckett: We're in another galaxy! How much more "out" can you get?

Seems like I can't live without a show with geeks. Yesterday I finished watching Atlantis. Now I'm going to watch the first episode of Eureka (A Town Called Eureka). And here I thought I'd read some of my old Physics textbooks tonight. Yeah, riiight.

Goodbye Atlantis
I just watched the last episode of Stargate Atlantis. Can't believe it's all over. And can't believe it ended up like this. There are still a lot of questions that haven't been answered. I just hope they will answer some of them in their new... what, spin-off of a spin-off of a spin-off? *rolls eyes* spoilers for 5x20 )

Movie meme
Stolen from [info]kj_svala. Because I wanted to do this a long time ago.

Supposedly if you've seen over 85 films, you have no life. There are 270 films on this list. Copy it, paste it into a new post and then put Xs next to the films you've seen. Add them up and post at the bottom. Have fun!

The List )

Total: 76
See? I told you I hate movies! *gg* I've managed to get 76 only because 44 of them (yes, I counted) I've seen in childhood/teen age. Well, what can I say... I'm quite comfortable with those movies I've seen AND loved. Loved so much, in fact, that I didn't need to see anything else. Call me narrow-minded, I don't care. :)

PS: I'm still listening my Star Wars soundtracks. 4 hours 46 minutes left. He-he. *crazy*

Music from a faraway galaxy
Great. I got myself an insomnia. 3 hours of sleep is all I can manage (it would have been 4 hours if I didn't keep waking up every now and then). But hey, on the brighter side, I finally, finally got time to listen ALL of the Star Wars OSTs in a row! Yeah, call me crazy, but I wanted to do this for ages; never had 10 spare hours before, always someone there to interrupt me. But not tonight *evil and very satisfied grin* Can't wait till it's 9am so I can take off my headphones and continue with the speakers.

And...
Happy birthday to Severus Snape!
...the only fictional character whose birthday I celebrate regularly every year. So what if this year's celebration started with SW soundtrack? :D

I know I'm awfully late, but still... happy holidays!
I'm really, really, really sorry it's been this long. First there were hospitals, then I got caught in the middle of holidays preparations and was forced to spend most of my time at my grandmother's place. Frankly, I'm a bit scared to come back here: feels like I've been absent for too long and that's totally unforgivable. *is ashamed* I thought I'd have a chance to write here at Christmas, but... starting from Christmas morning our phone (and I have a DSL internet, which means I need a phone line to connect) got disconnected for several days due to the scheduled phone number change. I'm the luckiest person on Earth, I know... *headdesk*

For those who may wonder...
My computer is online almost all the time. And I'm even in the same room with it. But. I got Playstation 2 and a disc with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - the game I've been waiting for a year and a half. The game that's considered the official episode in Star Wars Saga. The game where you play as Darth Vader's secret apprentice who were raised by the Dark Lord himself. "The Apprentice is the photo negative of Luke Skywalker. He's been raised by Darth Vader, and is what Luke would have become if he had joined his father." © See, not really an option for me - to play or not to play. And this is where I spend all my time now. Oh, you should have seen my eyes *gg* bet I can beat Lord Voldemort now, they're so red *rofl* Sleep is overrated.
I'm really sorry, if I haven't answered my e-mail or comments! I will, I promise! As soon as I finish this game... *g*

Somebody, please, kill me NOW
It's almost 5 am. I still have to go to sleep and wake up at 8 or 9 am. And I just found the Star Wars/Stargate crossover.

Gods of Dark and Light by Darth Marrs.
What happens when the Ori, a god-like race of ascended beings currently rampaging through the Star Gate Universe come to the Galaxy Far Far Away? Those who do not follow the path of Origin must be destroyed.

As fas as I can see, this fic is quite big, so the best thing to do would be saving it for future. But I know me - I will never manage to sleep, knowing that a plot like this exists. I will start imagining things, like "what would Darth Vader or Luke or the Emperor do"... And the morning will come in no time. So I'm starting to read. And currently I hate myself. I should not be allowed to browse the internet late at night.

...see? That's why I almost never post - always something there to distract me, more interesting, than my own thoughts. Hell, that's why I almost never sleep! *HEADDESK*

I've just come home (yeah, my "vacation" was longer than I originally thought it would be) and instead of going through shower-dinner-sleeeeep routine... that's right, I'm here in lj. Connecting my laptop to the internet was the second thing I did at home. *The first thing was strangling-with-hugs my pets* I am hopeless, really. *g* But that's 'cause I've missed you all sooo much that I couldn't think about doing anything else. ♥

Departure
It's four hours till I'm going to hospital. As some of you know, I am going there on a regular basis each month, usually for three or four days, just so I could get intravenous infusion drips to help my increased ICP. For those who actually clicked the link... It only sounds scary, but there's nothing to worry about, really. I'm okay now and I'm gonna be even more okay after those drips. The only bad thing is that they don't have the Internet there :( so... see you in a few days! Oh, I will miss you all so much! *hugs her friend-list*

For a very special friend
Today is an amazing day, the day [info]sweetgirl7808 was born!

Dear Manu, congratulations!

Wishing you everlasting happiness, endless joy and lots of luck in everything you do. Oh and inspiration, of course, but the last one is a bit selfish, I admit. *gg* You're such an awesome person, my vocabulary is not large enough even to start describing. I'm going crazy and I don't care.
Okay, now I'm really shocked. This morning one of the posts in my f-list reminded me about my Willy Wonka obsession. The obsession that had been "sleeping" since last autumn. And today I've spent the whole morning renewing it. Blah-blah-blah, nothing shocking. Yet. Right now my mom came in and said: "Hey, turn on TV, there's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" on the 6th channel." I swear, I jumped at that! What are the odds of me getting back into this fandom on the same day our local TV decided to make a rerun?!
There is line in my lj profile: "I really do believe that mr. Willy Wonka exist". It's true, you know. *gg*

Movies
Preamble: I hate watching movies. I also have a lot of them, 'cause my mom likes them.
Movies watched last week: Doomsday, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (in movie theatre), Hancock (in movie theatre), WALL·E (in movie theatre), The Spiderwick Chronicles, Lara Croft 1 and 2, Hitman, 21, The Happening, even Lion King, for crying out loud!
Reason: I have to watch Stargate: Continuum. And I can't. Can't close that door and admit that SG-1 is over. So I've chosen to watch any other movie I have instead.
Result: 11 unnecessary movies instead of the only one necessary.
Comment: I have no strength of will at all. *headdesk*

That's why I passed this test. And the result is... well, unexpected is definitely not the right word. Maybe alien would suit best.

English Genius. Yeah, right. )

For crying out loud™, that's ridiculous! I know I don't know English that well. Besides, about 50% of the correct usage of those words I've learned in fanfiction, of all things! *facepalm*

Oh, and I've searched through the answer page to find where I got wrong. It was the "economic/economical" question, which wasn't surprising at all. I'm not sure I will remember the difference even after reading the explanation.

Stargate related post
Stargate Continuum is available for download even at our local torrent tracker now, leave alone the fact it was on Mininova since the beginning of July. I'm trying to resist the urge to watch it. I can't do it just yet; somehow it doesn't seem fair to watch the movie before its release date. So I'm spending all my free time at [info]jd_ficathon to distract myself. And I can tell you that some of this year's stories are really great. Boy, did I miss Jack/Daniel fiction! *g*
